It was love at first touch | Now Renewal Night Photoshoot

I took these two out for a night photoshoot while they were visiting Alberta from Ontario.

Some nights I have to pinch myself.

Photographing these two was like watching a romantic movie right in front of me.

These two are next level in love.

Thank you for allowing me around your lovely energy that evening. Truly magical being around your love.

Some words from Holly herself about the night:

I knew he was the one after the first touch. I knew he was my forever after our first kiss. Paul says I saved him. That I gave him the life he always imagined but didn’t think existed. He didn’t know it at the time, but he was giving me the same. We couldn’t ignore this feeling between us. This pull. And no matter how many obstacles were thrown at us, we knew we were meant to be together and were married in just over a year and made plans to renew our vows every 5 years.

Here we are, 5 years later and happier and more in love than ever. We had dreamed about booking a photoshoot with Sofia one day. We had just booked a trip to Calgary in August and two days later, Sofia posted openings for a Lunar photoshoot on August 8th which we were already booked to be in Calgary and on that day, it was also my birthday. We knew as soon as we saw that post that we were booking our anniversary/vow renewal with Sofia as our one and only thing. We wanted it to be just us. Soaking up the moments and connecting with each other with no outside distractions.

That night with Sofia was magical, beyond what we ever expected. More than we had even hoped for. We didn’t care that Alberta was dealing with smoke and that we may not see the stars or mountains but it all cleared that day and just ended up being the most magical night. We went in with no expectations. Every single backdrop was more beautiful and perfect than the last. From the softest falling rain as we exited the moody forest, to the still waters and mountains surrounding us, there wasn’t a moment that didn’t leave us speechless. And we didn’t need to say anything because we understood exactly what we were feeling. Love and happiness.

We finished the night surrounded by mountains and dancing under the stars, when I remembered the surprise I had for Paul. I’d been holding onto it for the perfect moment and there would never be another moment so perfect. I pulled out my speaker and played a custom song professionally written and recorded by Scotty James about our love story.

We kept dancing as the clouds rolled in while the song played in the background. There were so many emotions as the song told our story and in that moment all over again, I knew our similar paths had crossed for a reason and we were meant to find happiness together. Not just once but every single day that we could. And that night, on August 8th in Kananaskis County, with bear spray in hand, we fell even more in love with each other all and knew that every difficult choices we had to make, gave us a love and happiness that we only dreamed of.
