Claude & Amy's Wedding | Prince George Intimate Backyard Wedding

Hello blog friends.

Welcome to Amy and Claude’s wedding day. Amy is an old pal of mine from my Grande Prairie party days and boy did we have some fun times together. I remember loving how much she filled a room with energy when I met her. We had the most amazing crew of pals in GP and laughed so hard when we were all together. We have many stories we could tell but maybe they are best as just amazing memories haha.

We have kept in touch ever since.

Fast forward to her friend Lindsie’s wedding and I as the photographer got sat at Amy’s table with her new man and her. These two were giggling the whole time and CLEARLY very in love with each other. Later on the dancefloor that night they looked so insanely happy. I thought to myself ahhh he’s the one.

Amy and Claude had their wedding on a friend’s private property in Prince George. I have never been to PG and since flying was not recommended at the time I drove from Calgary. It was a long beautiful drive and I actually really enjoyed my time there! I love how eclectic the downtown is and I adored the Ancient Forest in the area.

Their wedding day was filled with a lot of love with their closest and dearest present. It was casual and filled with a lot of fun including Claude’s daughter hula hooping, night time zip lining and portraits in a canoe. We ended the night with a shot of them and the night sky. The image caught not 1 but 3 shooting stars, one literally right between them.

A wedding gift from the galaxy perhaps.

I asked Amy & Claude to send in some notes about their wedding day.

Here is what they said:

It’s all a blur already! I’m so excited we had Sofia to capture our day and substitute my memory!

My advice for getting married in a pandemic...ummm don’t! Lol

Remember in the end you will be married!

Lean on your people!

Get Marjo to make you a spreadsheet!

It’s seriously poured rain the entire day before and we had no backup plan, I must have refreshed the weather app 2000 times in the days before!

The sun did shine though.

Amy’s Favorite Moments of the Day

The canoe

Father & Daughter dance was really special for me.

I loved dinner! We had front row seats looking at everyone chatting and laughing.
