Yasser & Felicia's Perfect Mountain Day Elopement in Canmore & Banff
Chatting with Yasser was so easy. I felt like I was talking to an old buddy of mine on the phone. Him and his fiancee Felicia had decided they were going to head out to the Banff and Canmore Mountains and elope, just the two of them. They came out all the way from Montreal and I couldn’t be more honored to be the one to put together their day.
It was a simple one. We asked Tamara Jones to come along with us to make everything official and she is seriously one of the best you guys. She is personal and cares so much, you can tell just being at one of her ceremonies. I have been lucky enough to witness many of her wedding ceremonies and somehow she still makes every single one of them unique and special. She really speaks from the heart.
Dylan, my current student was with me to second shoot and lighting assist the star photos at night. Him and I were also the official witnesses for Felicia and Yasser. It was all made official right here at sunset in the Canadian Rockies.
We planned the ceremony for the sunset in Canmore and had some time for portraits right after. We killed some time and bought coffees and tea and hit the highway to head to Banff for a night shot. We managed to luck out completely with the most clear skies ever that evening and also a couple days after the new moon, so very little moon light was out. PERFECT STAR PHOTO CONDITIONS! These two have my favorite star photo to date in their little gallery.
