Ashley Says YES to John | Banff Secret Proposal Photoshoot
So this blog needs a little backstory to really appreciate this day we all had.
Kailtin is an old pal of mine from Hinton (not the girl who got proposed to, but her Bestie!). Kaitlin even lived with us at my Dad’s place for a short period of time and was April, my little sister’s best friend. She was always around. Her now husband Joel Santerre’s Dad was our Dad’s good friend so our families all grew up together. (Following along still?)
I shot Kaitlin and Joel’s wedding in Las Vegas and met Ashley (the girl getting proposed to here). Fast forward to some DM’s on instagram turned into a group DM and an elaborate sneaky plan and we all ended up in Banff on November 2nd.
Dylan, my amazing 2019 student headed out to Banff with me hours before this proposal would take place. We scouted locations, even marked the dock with a piece of orange tape where John should kneel down for the perfect spot and practiced the timing. We sent images of where we would be hiding (Me behind some bushes near my vehicle and Dylan posing as a tourist chilling out right beside the dock) and waited for this crew to show up.
Ashley came to the dock and posed for an iphone photo facing the mountains that Kaitlin suggested to take of these two and well. The rest I will let you check out below.
