To The Point Acupuncture | Grande Prairie Commercial Photography
““Choose a job you love,
and you will never have to
work a day in your life””
This year was supposed to be the one where I finally launched an in person multi-day workshop about photography. I have wanted to start teaching photography to others for years now and have always unofficially had at least a couple students a year come follow me from NAIT or work along side me. So even though I never officially wass teaching over the years I have always been sharing with others.
This year I decided to start one on one mentoring photographers in a weekly business coaching style method over video calls. I had one special student sneak into the Thursday Skool Sessions who was not a photographer.
Kari is a past Bride of mine and has became a dear friend over the years. She is an acupuncturist and business owner and needed some help with her website, branding and social media. I have been chatting with her weekly since the start of the year. We have had many conversations about business and some really awesome virtual meetings building her website together. I finally got to go up to Grande Prairie and photograph her new location and her at work. It was so neat to finally see her working after so many chats about her business.
Something special happens when you see someone working and they are doing what they love. They get way more confident, talk passionately and light up the room. Taking just Kari’s portrait made her super nervous as it makes most of us, but when she was working and holding her acupuncture tools she turned into another person. It was clear spending the day at the clinic with her that she is doing what she is meant to be doing.
We took space photos, some social media content photos, headshots, treatment photos including HEART cupping and fire cupping images. These were so fun to shoot!
Enjoy this little blog i put together of some of my favorite images I took at her work.
Here is her website as well if you wanna check it out: www.acupuncturetothepoint.ca
Thanks so much for having me visit Kari.
