The time Sof didn’t show up | Greg & Sydney's Canmore Elopement

this is my mom, Odette.

There is nothing I wouldn’t do for this woman. Including missing an elopement to be by her side in the hospital. For the first time in my entire 12 year wedding career, I made the most difficult choice to replace myself 6 hours before a wedding with another photographer.

My goal with this blog is to start talking about more REAL things that happen during wedding season. Last minute changes and REAL life is going to happen.

And guess what… you can still have the best wedding day ever. What matters is LOVE. Love always wins.

And to my fellow wedding photographers: I want you to know it is OK to have emergencies. I advise you to find fellow photographers that would have your back in an instant and always say YES to helping out someone else if you can. You just never know when the favour will be most needed to be returned.

“It wasn’t what we initially planned. In fact, it wasn’t even plan B. But the day was absolutely perfect exactly how it was.

We were devastated when we had cancel our dream wedding, but Sofia quickly changed our tune when she helped us plan each step of our dream elopement. Her radiant positivity made us forget about what was planned, and reminded us what getting married is all about, LOVE!

And even though Sofia wasn’t able to be there, she still made sure we were well taken care of. She is the kindest, most talented human!

We cannot wait to celebrate with her and have her capture our vow renewal in Mexico in 2022!”
