I know I say this a lot but Kelsey is a old pal of mine from Hinton. Hinton friendships are hard to explain unless you are from there. We are all so closely bonded and when we get together it’s just so easy to hang out. Like no time has passed.
Kelsey was one of my first models ever when I first started out in photography. One of our first shoots we made a gown out of garbage bags (no lie) and headed into a random field to photograph it outside Calgary. We ended up denting and seriously damaging her vehicle to get into this field. A lesson and memory I won’t forget and an expensive one for us both.
Kelsey and Colby have been together for years and had two beautiful little girls before they decided to get married. We planned for the ceremony to be sunset timed in back country Canmore and then did their portraits at twilight and into the night ending with an intimate dinner at Gaucho’s a Brazilian Steakhouse in Canmore. They had under 20 people watch them get married which made for the day to be very intimate and relaxed.
This day was extra special to be able to watch a long time friend finally tie the knot with her soulmate. Enjoy the photos blog pals.
