A Twilight Wedding | Kris and Delanie's Night Wedding

“Hello, we are having a NIGHT wedding outside of Edmonton”

This is part of the email I got from Kris and Delanie and you all can imagine how EXCITED I was to get this inquiry. Not only was this night wedding right up my alley but it also happened to be taking place in Tofield, a very small but special town I actually lived in for a short time with my Dad. Small world folks… small world!

This wedding had a bit of a different timeline. Here is what these two did for their special day:

Hosted on family property. They all spent hours prepping the space with string lights, heaters and decorations in this beautiful wooded location.

Golden hour is when we started their Bride & Groom portraits and then started the family portraits at Twilight (also known as Blue Hour).

Then the ceremony. Truly at night and really special on this property in the woods. All of the couple’s family members were involved in the day including parts of the ceremony. It was truly super intimate and I felt very lucky and honored to document this day.

The ceremony exit went straight into a champagne toast, some speeches under heaters. Their wedding cake was a cheese cake with big jars of different fruit toppings like cherries and peaches, I may have had a couple slices and it was soooo good.

The couple then performed a song together and then… the outside dance party began.

They ended the night with a sparkler exit to the limo taking them off to their hotel in Edmonton.

A truly unique wedding day.

Enjoy the wedding day through my eyes here.

Thank you for trusting me with the photography for your wedding Delanie and Kris! It was fun working with you and helping plan the day with all our phone chats!

Your wedding day was truly super unique and a treat to be a part of.

All the best in your new marriage.

xo. Sof.
