Chadi & Layal's Twilight Wedding Shoot | Banff Night Wedding Photos

I met Layal at THIS amazing. I remember when she called me and said “I was the one in the vintage gown” and I knew exactly which girl I was talking to. I loved that gown that night, it caught my eye. It was almost Victorian looking. She was a hard one to miss in the crowd that wedding and I was pretty stoked that same girl was now thinking of hiring me for her wedding.

Layal and Chadi had their wedding on a date I was booked already and still wanted to do wedding portraits with me. We arranged a post wedding photoshoot for the two of them. We were all stoked for this shoot day to come.

So the day of this shoot….. I severely sprained my ankle. There are no sick days in the wedding world folks. I took some advil, tylenol, iced my ankle and had my lighting assistant drive there. This shoot was not getting canceled because of slipping on some wet grass.

Chadi has a private collection of vintage masks. He brought some to wear for the shoot which I LOVED. He may or may not have scared some fellow night sky viewers off with his mask and cape in the dark. Not what ya wanna see while driving in the pitch black. LOL.

“For it is plain as anyone can see, we’re simply meant to be.”

I asked the couple to write me a little story about the two of them.

Here is what they wrote:

Chadi & Layal met in the most inconvenient of times. Their first date was on a leap year (feb 29, 2020).
As Covid cases grew, so did their love.

Only a month later from their first meet-cute, they got engaged.

It was tough for them to hangout as all the places were closed back then, so they got to know each other within a small box called a car.
They both committed to unite their lives and it only took a month to plan the wedding.

5 months after the engagement, Chadi and Layal dressed in white,

and walked down the aisle hand in hand as one.
