New Year’s Eve! Talk about one epic night to get married. Shaun and Alicia had a very memorable day to be a part of. They had their wedding ceremony OUTDOORS at Silvertip Resort on their patio in -30C weather. Talk about the WORST day to wear a dress to shoot a wedding, what was I thinking guys?? haha! There was blankets passed around to all the guests and the ceremony was short and sweet ran by one of my favorite officiants, Patrick Smiley, love that guy.
The mountains were literally beaming because of all the fresh snow and sun out that day (although it did not help with keeping warm, at least it looked GORGEOUS!) It was truly a magical winter wedding wonderland out in Canmore that day at Silvertip.
The evening had it’s own private fireworks show put on by the couple and ended with one of my favorite wedding shots ever, the midnight kiss for the newlyweds. I remember standing on a chair right in front of the DJ just waiting for that PERFECT moment at midnight. SO FREAKING PROUD OF THIS SHOT.
What an amazing wedding to be a part of. Now it seems odd not seeing these two on New Year’s Eve.
