Twilight Session - Robbie & Jamie - Columbia Icefields Photoshoot in the Fall
Robbie’s suggestions for me before the shoot… :P
Jamie reached out to me last time I was in Hinton for mini sessions. She wanted to grab one but also was telling me how much LOVED my night photos. The mini are amazing but super short and I can’t do 3 hours worth of magic in a 30 min one location stint. I suggested she book a “Twilight Session” which is basically the fancy name I gave my night couple’s photo shoots. We head out before Twilight and plan the shoot based on weather and location. I have done so many in this format, we basically go for a lil road trip together. They never fail to amaze me with what we get out that late too.
We decided on the Columbia Icefields basically in between the two of us. These two live in Hinton and I am in Calgary. It required 7 hours of driving from me that day, 3.5 hours there and then 3.5 hours home after midnight. Thank you good world for red-bull and sirius radio edm channel. I got to listen to Tiesto’s live set from last year’s Tomorrow-land on the way home… If you’re reading this I thought of you ALANA!
These two have been together 9 years and married for one. They were a blast to hang out with and SUPER down with a bit of an adventure. Apparently I have a “thinking face"“ that Jamie informed me of this evening… My boyfriend calls it Tsunami face… anyways… lol
